Minister Doris Annette Lindsay is a native of Norfolk, Virginia and currently resides in Suffolk, Virginia with her husband, Minister John Clifton Lindsay, III and their two children, Briana and John Lindsay, IV.
She is the youngest of seven children born to the late Mary Ann Briggs and the late Reverend John R. Briggs, Sr., former pastor of the Divine Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia.
While under the leadership of her father, Minister Lindsay served in both the Young Voices Choir and No. 2 Choir of Divine Baptist Church and she also served as a youth missionary.
She was an active leadership member of the Youth Fellowship Ministry, as well as the Chesapeake & Portsmouth Rappahannock Sunday School Union.
Minister Lindsay is a graduate of Norview High School in Norfolk, Virginia and in August of 2000, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Old Dominion University in Human Services Counseling with a concentration in Business Administration.
Minister Lindsay completed several classes at the Tidewater Bible College in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts Degree in Ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia. Minister Lindsay is currently employed as a Office Services Specialist/Business Manager with the Virginia Department of Corrections.
She is currently a member of the Tidewater Bible Way Temple in Portsmouth, Virginia, where she serves faithfully under the leadership of her pastor, Apostle Michael J. Rogers, Sr. There she has been entrusted to serve in several ministry capacities.
She serves on the Board of Ruling Elders; she is the Director of the Performing Arts Ministry, the Co-Director of the Marriage Enrichment Ministry, along with her husband; she is a Senior Missionary, and also serves as one of the Praise and Worship Leaders.
Minister Lindsay is a gifted writer and director with several plays to her credit including two black history dramatizations entitled, "We've Got a Right to Praise Him," and "This is Our Story, This is Our Praise".
Called by God to minister to the needs of God’s people and to bring encouragement and deliverance to the body of Christ through her prophetic gifting, Minister Lindsay ministers the Gospel of the Kingdom both in Word and in Song.
