Prophetess Doris Annette Lindsay is a native of Norfolk, Virginia and currently resides in Suffolk, Virginia with her husband, Deacon John Clifton Lindsay, III and their two children. She is the youngest of seven children born to the late Mary Ann Briggs and Reverend John R. Briggs, Sr., Pastor Emeritus of the Divine Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. While under the leadership of her father, Minister Lindsay served in both the Young Voices Choir and the Inspirational Choir of Divine Baptist Church and also served as the Youth Fellowship Director.
Minister Lindsay is a 1980 graduate of Norview High School in Norfolk, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Counseling from Old Dominion University in August of 2000, and plans to soon pursue her Master’s Degree in Theology. She is currently employed as a Probation and Parole Investigations Officer with the Virginia Department of Corrections.
Prophetess Lindsay is a member of the Tidewater Bible Way Temple in Portsmouth, Virginia, where she serves faithfully under the leadership of her pastor, Bishop Michael J. Rogers. There she has been entrusted to serve in several ministry capacities. She is the Director of the Performing Arts/Praise Dance Ministries, the Co-Director of the Marriage Enrichment Ministry, and also serves on the Praise and Worship Team.
An anointed playwright, Doris Annette Lindsay is a gifted writer and director with several plays to her credit including "We've a Right to Praise Him", and "Run and Tell That". Currently, Prophetess Lindsay is writing other theatrical productions to be presented in the future as the Lord allows.
Called by God to minister to the needs of God’s people and to bring encouragement and deliverance to the body of Christ through her prophetic gifting, she ministers the Gospel of the Kingdom both in Word and in Song. Minister Lindsay and her husband are the founders of Lindsay Ministries---a ministry which stands upon the Word of God found in Zechariah 4:6---“Not by Might, Nor by Power, But by my Spirit, saith the Lord of Hosts.”
